Ambassador Schlicher visited the SOS Children's Village on Thursday, December 27. Along with Santa Claus, he presented individualized gifts to each of the 58 children living there. The gifts were donated by the Embassy community, Cetinkaya Magazasi, Bucuruk Magazasi, and Mr. Ahmet Pehlivanoglu. Ambassador Schlicher shared laughs and smiles with the children and SOS staff as he went from house to house delivering the presents.

During his visit, Ambassador Schlicher acknowledged the warm relationship the Embassy shares with SOS village, and noting the young, friendly faces, Ambassador Schlicher said that now is the perfect time to consider new ways of cooperation which will hopefully lead to a more peaceful and prosperous Cyprus. The children were very excited with their gifts and thanked Santa Claus and the Ambassador for the presents.
