and Embassy Programs with High School Students

November 15, 2007

On November 15 Counselor for Public Affairs Tom Miller discussed U.S. Embassy programs with high school students at the Xynenion High School in Paralimini. Mr. Miller described goals of the Embassy, resolution of regional conflicts, prevention and response to terrorism, secure and stable markets, disruption of criminal organizations, and how public diplomacy efforts support these efforts. He also described the advantages of studying in the U.S., focusing in particular on the liberal arts education, which helps students become more well rounded. Student questions focused on universities in the U.S. and how to obtain scholarships.
