Donates “Buster” Contraband Detector kits to Police,
Customs and Port Authorities

On January 18, 2008, Econ/Commercial Officer James Carouso donated to the Cyprus National Police “Buster” Contraband Detector Kits, Laser ranger finders and tool kits. A brief demonstration of the equipment was provided at the ceremony held at Police HQ by EXBS reps. Also attending were Assistant Chief of Police Christakis Dionysiou, Commanders of MMAD, Port & Marine Police, Fire Department and other US Embassy representatives.  

 

Similar equipment was also donated to Customs and Cyprus Port Authority earlier in December 2007. The total value of the equipment donated was around US$ 77,000.

Also attending were Assistant Chief of Police Christakis Dionysiou, Commanders of MMAD, Port & Marine Police, Fire Department and other US Embassy representatives
