“Introduction to Human Resources Management”
Course Graduates 10

December 15, 2007

USAID-funded Economic Development and Growth for Enterprises (EDGE) program concluded its thirteenth banking courseOn 15 December 2007, the USAID-funded Economic Development and Growth for Enterprises (EDGE) program concluded its thirteenth banking course. The five-day course titled, “Introduction to the Basic Principles of Human Resources Management”, was designed to provide the basic tools needed to create and manage a bank’s human resource management function. Revised since it was first offered a year ago, the course was taught by three of EDGE’s most experienced local trainers. All of the instructors completed a comprehensive “training-of-trainers” program, also sponsored by the EDGE project.

This course, consistent with EDGE’s overall activities, was designed to improve the environment which Turkish Cypriot businesses function, as part of a program to foster a durable economic foundation for the future reunification of Cyprus. The Economic Development and Growth for Enterprises (EDGE) project is implemented by BearingPoint, Inc. and funded by USAID.
